Mission & Vision

Mission:

Development and management of local infrastructure for increasing farm/non-farm production, generating employment, improving socio-economic condition, promoting local governance, reducing poverty and acting as the agent of changing at the local level.

Vision:

LGED would continue to remain professionally competent, efficient and effective public sector agency for performing the interrelated and complementary functions of:

1)  Developing, maintaining and managing transport, trading and small scale water resources infrastructure at the local level by LGI and community participation and taking care of environmental and social issues.

2) Providing technical and institutional support to strengthen the local government institutions and serving local communities and other stakeholders.

3) Acting as an effective and professional public institution that executes the inter related responsibilities in the district.

4) Giving the technical and organizational support to the local government and ensuring the related local services.
